The time warp-ing musical extravaganza of the cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be coming to the Gulbenkian in Canterbury for a midnight screening next week.
It is being organised by the theatre and the University of Kent’s Musical Theatre Society for the third year running.
The film depicts sweethearts Brad and Janet getting stuck during a storm and ending up at the eerie mansion of Dr Frank-N-Hunter, a transvestite scientist.
The couple meet a household of wild characters, including a rocking biker played by Meat Loaf, and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dance and rock music Frank-N-Furter reveals his latest creation: a muscular man names Rocky.
Spokesman Jess Thomas said: “We have teamed up again to get the audience doing the time warp, and guide you as heckle, cheer and sing your way through one of the most interactive films ever made.
“We will be judging you on your excellent fancy dress, so dig out your fancy undies, slip on those high heels and join us in those steps to drive you in-sa-ane.
“Expect corsets, fishnets, a host of crazy antics, and lots of fun!”
It will be screened on Friday, November 28. Tickets cost £8 or £7 for concessions, to book visit www.thegulbenkian.co.uk or call the box office on 01227 769075.
