Ramblin' Man Fair headliner Foreigner announced for festival in Maidstone

American rock legends Foreigner will headline the Ramblin' Man Fair in Kent next year, organisers have announced.

Festival organiser Spirit of Rock announced the first headliner along with news that the fifth Ramblin' Man - which is held in Mote Park, Maidstone - will move back to its traditional slot near the end of July for next year.

It will take place from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21.

Foreigner, who will headline the main stage, have had 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, with album sales that exceed 75 million.

With more than 40 years in the music business under their belts, their rock and roll anthems include Juke Box Hero, Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, Waiting For A Girl Like You, Feels Like The First Time, Say You Will, Long, Long Way From Home, and the worldwide No.1 I Want to Know What Love is.

Mick Jones from the band said: "We are excited to be headlining Ramblin Man Fair 2019 as it is such a great festival for both classic and contemporary rock.

"We can’t wait to get back to the UK and play to our fans. We are planning a very special show featuring all the hits and much more."

The rock festival is known for its UK exclusive performances and attracts acts from around the world and through the ages, with last year's featuring Mott the Hoople and The Cult.

It is held in the 450-acre park in Maidstone, with camping on offer for fans wanting to see the whole weekend.
