Southeastern line reopened following delays in Yalding and Aylesford due to signalling faults

A train service is reported to be back on schedule following previous delays due to signalling problems.

Southeastern explained that services at Yalding and Aylesford were affected as separate faults have been found at both locations at around 8.30am today.

In Yalding, there was a problem with the level crossing while Aylesford was reported to have an issue with its signalling equipment.

Staff were at both locations and have since fixed the issues.

Delays were still said to be likely but now Southeastern have tweeted to say the problem has been cleared

It said: “The fault with the level crossing at Yalding has been fixed.

“The signalling problem at Aylesford has now been fixed and trains are now running normally on the Medway Valley Line.”
