A man has been left with a fractured skull after he was violently assaulted while trying to break up a fight between a man and woman at a bar.

The victim was punched in the head as he tried to diffuse the situation in Verdigris in High Street, Tonbridge on Saturday.

He was assaulted by the man at 12.10am before the suspect left with the woman, heading in the direction of the train station.

The suspect was also reported to have broken a window.

A CCTV image has been released of a man who police say could help with their investigations.
