Firefighters put out tumble dryer blaze in Brookmead, Hildenborough

Firefighters were called to a fire involving a tumble dryer at a home in Brookmead, Hildenborough last night.

The blaze had started in the utility room of a detached bungalow just before 10pm. It was extinguished by crews using a hose reel jet.

There were no injuries as the occupants had been alerted to the fire by a smoke alarm sounding.

The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.
