Police at Barnett's Wood picnic area

Emergency services were scrambled to a picnic site after concerns were raised about a man's welfare on Monday.

Police, ambulance, the air ambulance and Kent Fire and Rescue Service arrived at Barnett's Wood picnic area just off the A21 near Leigh shortly after 3.30pm.

It's understood a lay-by of the A21 between the Hildenborough and Tonbridge exits was shut temporarily to allow the air ambulance to land around 4pm.
