Kent Police make three arrests in Minster near Ramsgate

Police have arrested three men after a man was assaulted and threatened with a gun.

Officers were called just before noon on Saturday to a disturbance in Cottage Road, Ramsgate.

Armed and unarmed officers carried out a search and stopped a vehicle in Laundry Road, Minster, in Thanet.

Police spokesman Glenn Pearson said: "Three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and firearms offences and remain in police custody."
