Margate teen robbed of iPhone and BMX bike in Northdown Park Road

A boy has been punched and kicked by two men on mopeds who robbed him of his bike and phone.

The 15-year-old was in Northdown Park Road, Margate, at about 6.10pm when two young men approached him on mopeds.

The men carried out a physical attack, punching and kicking him before threatening him with more violence.

The teen was forced to give up his iPhone and his bike - a Voodoo Rune BMX.

The suspects are reported to have left with a number of other people, who arrived at the scene in a dark coloured car.

Police officers investigating the incident, which happened on October 21, have carried out house-to-house visits and reviewed CCTV and dashcam footage.

They are now appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to them to come forward.

Teenager robbed of bike in Margate

Witnesses are being encouraged to come forward after a teenager was robbed of his bicycle and smartphone in Margate.

The incident happened in Northdown Park Road, near the junction with Green Lane, at about 6.10pm on Monday 21 October 2019.

It was reported that the victim, aged 15, was punched and kicked by two young men who approached him on mopeds.

He was then threatened with further violence and forced to give up his Voodoo Rune BMX and iPhone.

The suspects are reported to have left with a number of other people who arrived at the scene in a dark coloured car.

Kent Police officers have followed a number of lines of enquiry including house-to-house visits and a review of any CCTV or dashcam opportunities. They are now appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to them to also come forward.
