Windies seamer joins Gore Court

WEST Indian pace bowler Franklyn Rose has signed for Sittingbourne-based club team Gore Court who have been newly promoted to the Kent League's premier division.

The 32-two-year-old Jamaican played 19 Test matches for the Windies, taking 53 wickets. He also took 29 wickets in 27 one-day internationals.

Rose, who will live in Maidstone, is due to make his league debut for Gore Court in the home fixture against another newly-promoted side, Beckenham, on May 1.
