Steven Marshall scored his first goal for Sittingbourne to help the club end a run of three successive defeats with a 1-1 draw at Walton Casuals in Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday.

Bourne, playing their sixth game in eight days, took a 16th-minute lead when Marshall fired home after Nick Reeves’ flick fell to him.

Casuals were level seven minutes before the break, Mu Maan shooting first time past Deren Ibrahim, after a deep cross was knocked back across goal.

Bourne top scorer Hicham Akhazzan, Billy Manners and Matt Bourne had chances in the final 10 minutes of the game as the visitors pressed for a winner.
