The parents of a teenage girl called the police after she was followed by a black car.

The 14-year-old was at the park off Woodpecker Drive, Iwade, when she first noticed the sports-style vehicle with two men inside watching her.

They then followed her as she walked home but drove off when she entered the property.

Kent police confirmed officers were called to an address in Swallow Avenue at around 9.35pm on Sunday.

The men are described as white, in their early 20s and of athletic build. One had brown hair and the other mousey coloured hair.

They were both overheard speaking and had local accents. They are not believed to be eastern European as has been suggested on some social networking sites.

A posting on a Facebook group said another teenager had been ‘chased’ by a man in the village the previous evening and implied the two incidents could be linked.

But a spokesman for Kent police said they had not received any reports.
