St Edward's Catholic Primary School in Sheerness wins Crosskeys and KM Media Group competition for tickets to Kent County Show

A Sheppey school has won free tickets and transport to the Kent County Show after amassing a mountain of tokens.

KM Media Group teamed up with show organisers and family-run company Crosskeys, which will donate a 52-seat coach free of charge to take 45 youngsters and seven adults to the show.

St Edward's Catholic Primary School in New Road, Sheerness, was the winner after staff, pupils, parents and carers cut out and handed in the most vouchers from our What's On supplement.

The trip, on Friday, July 5, will coincide with the school's 90th anniversary.

Head teacher Sara Wakefield said: "Yet again it's our parents, children and wider families and the school community that pulled together to cut out the tokens and bring them in to school.

"Because we're such a small school we entered but we didn't think we'd win because we're the smallest school on the Island.

"We were very surprised and delighted to find out we had won.

"We know that we have the best community in this school and they pulled together for the children."
