Minster vice-captain Nathan Nichol believes their recent purple patch is just a sign of things to come.

A one-wicket victory over Catford & Cyphers on Saturday was Minster’s third in a row as they put further distance between themselves and the bottom of the table.

"Things are looking positive and it’s onwards and upwards," said Nichol, who took two wickets against Catford.

"It was a good victory over a team who were just above us in the table and so it was also an important win. That’s three on the bounce now. It’s pleasing and we’re starting to look better.

"We’ve got Dartford at the weekend and I’m not fearing them at all. They are a reasonable outfit but we’ll do what we need to do and we can match anything they can offer.

"Even though we’ve won the last three, I feel the team can only get better. While we’re getting better, the frontrunners at the start of the season are hopefully going to collapse.

"After Dartford, we’ve got a couple of winnable games. If we can get three more wins then we can get well clear of relegation and that’s our priority.

"If we can ensure our safety with two or three weeks left, then we can have a proper go and aim for a good mid-table finish."
