Single occupancy likely to keep rising

ACCORDING to new figures by the Family Policy Studies Centre, almost one in three British homes has single occupancy and the figure is likely to keep climbing.

The number of one-person households has risen steadily since the 1960s, when only 11 per cent of houses were single occupancy. Some 6.5 million working Britons return “home alone” each night.

With this in mind, Countryside Residential is offering a range of two and three-bedroom apartments at its Queen Charlotte Place development in West Malling.

SIX two-bedroom apartments have been released by Hillreed Homes at its Orchard Edge development in Iwade, near Sittingbourne.
