Exhibition for lovers of period homes

AN EXHIBITION for anyone who has a passion for period style takes place at The Business Design Centre in Islington from May 9-11.

According to the organisers, the Period Living & Traditional Homes Show promises an outstanding line-up of exhibitors, as well as an unrivalled source of expert advice and information for anyone who treasures their home.

Whether renovating a whole house or redecorating one room, The Period Living and Traditional Homes Show will put visitors in touch with specialists to help create an inspired home.

Not to be found in any High Street, more than 120 exhibitors will fill the hall, offering a one stop shopping opportunity not to be missed.

For those wanting to get to the grass roots of their homes, the free seminar programme will be invaluable. More than 30 specialist seminars will be offered to visitors over the three days of the show, covering subjects as diverse as conservation, interior design and tracing the history of a house, to coping with infestation and collecting antiques.

There is even a session on Homeopathy for Houses, advising how to bring balance and harmony to period houses without using invasive building methods. Paint techniques, carpentry and period flower arranging are just a few of the practical demonstrations that will bring the show to life.

Free tickets for the seminars are issued on a first-come first-served basis each day, so visitors should arrive early to avoid disappointment.

For more individual consultations, the team from Period Living & Traditional Homes magazine will be available on their feature stand. Each day, key specialists will sit in the Ask The Experts hot seat offering free one on one interviews on a whole range of specialist issues associated with period properties.

On the opening day of the show, the Period Living & Traditional Homes Awards will be presented to the winners on The Period Living & Traditional Homes stand in a celebration to mark their achievements.

Tickets for the show are £10 on the day. For more information call 0870 120 0140.
