Company manages every step of your move

THE SPICER McColl estate agency group has launched a new scheme to take care of the house moving process, every step of the way.

The company has appointed three "move managers" in Kent -- the first in the country to be appointed by parent company TMX Spicerhaart, in order to offer the "Total Moving eXperience".

The move managers help buyers through the conveyancing maze, using the TMXLegal service, keeping them updated every time something happens. They can also, if required, sort out the buyers' mortgage through sister company Mortgages Direct, survey through H.C. Wolton and discounted utility and telecom bills, as well as removals.

The three that have been appointed are Cherrie Lowery in Walderslade, Tracey Nash in Sheerness and Leah Peacock in Chatham.

Among the first people to benefit from the scheme are Jeremy Norris and partner Samantha Hobson, who bought their three-bed terraced home in Gillingham with the help and support of Leah Peacock in the Chatham branch.

Leah said: "It really is an excellent scheme, it's very customer focused and it's great being able to see everything come together so that people don't have to worry about moving house."

Ms Hobson added: "We didn't have to worry about anything, Our move manager did everything for us. If ever we had a problem, we'd just ring up Leah and she would sort everything out for us, including our gas and electricity supplies and even the phone line."

One of the biggest advantages of the new scheme is that it can reduce the time taken to complete the sale of a property, subject to no complications with mortgages or surveys, because the Move Manager can keep track of every stage of the conveyancing process.

Project manager for the scheme, Mark Ninnim, said: "As well as offering an unparalleled level of customer service, the move managers have been able to cut the amount of time it takes to complete the purchase in half, to an average of six weeks.

"The scheme has proved to be such a success that we are now taking on 15 new move managers- - with more to follow nationwide."
