Lordswood Rugby Club remain rock bottom of London 3 South East after losing 21-3 at home to Eastbourne on Saturday.

With 15 minutes gone Lordswood were 6-0 down after conceding two penalties.

James Dorman pulled three points back with a kick of his own, but Lordswood had a player sin-binned and during his absence they conceded a converted try.

Just before half-time Lords missed a penalty and Eastbourne went down the other end to score another try to make it 18-3.

In the second half, Eastbourne wrapped up the win with a drop goal.

Lordswood are unlikely to move off the bottom but the league still haven’t made a formal decision on this season’s relegation.

Head coach Paul Essenhigh said: “Before Saturday’s game I thought two were going down but then I was told it was one. If the league is re-organised above it might not be any and so we’re in the dark.”

Medway won 10-9 at Erith in Kent 1, while Gillingham Anchorians defeated Ashford 18-8. Old Williamsonians saw off Brockleians 22-11 in Kent 2.
