A man has appeared in court after a break in at a chemist.
Dean Lacey is accused of burgling Paydens, in Balmoral Road, Gillingham, at 11pm on Monday.
The 45-year-old, of High Street, Gillingham, is then said to have tried to rob a man between the time of the break in and his arrest.
He is also charged with attempted robbery.
During the second incident he was allegedly joined by Anthony Eastwood, 34, also of High Street.
Eastwood is also charged with attempted robbery and assaulting a police officer during his arrest.
Both men appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today and have been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, January 9.
Lacey is due back in front of magistrates on Monday, February 4, accused of being in breach of a suspended sentence. Charges of being drunk and disorderly and failing to show up to an earlier hearing were dealt with by way of time spent in custody.
