The roller rink is beside Bizz Gym, which will also be closing.

In a statement posted on the company's Facebook page, the directors said: "We regret to inform our Roller Bizz customers that following an unsustainable rent increase for unit 2 (Bizz Gym and Roller Rink), the directors had to make the regrettable decision to close the gym and roller skating business."

The existing business includes indoor soft play area Monkey Bizz, a cafe and Easy Puck skate shop.

There will be a roller disco party tonight at 7pm.

The roller rink will be open for the last time on Sunday between 9.30am and 10.30am for their toddler skating session and 10.30am and 6pm for their public skate session.

A statement issued by Medway Bizz said: "It is our regret that we have had to make the difficult decision to close Gym and Roller Bizz with effect from October 1.

"Sunday, September 29 will our last roller disco and the rink will remain open until 6pm.

"There are a number of factors which have lead us to make this decision, including the extremely competitive market demands and increasing costs associated with operating the businesses.

"We would like to express our gratitude to the staff in the roller rink and gym for their hard work and dedication, as well as the loyalty from our customers and members. It has been an amazing journey, which we are proud to have built and are extremely thankful to all of those who have been a part of it.

"We are now enjoying the prospect of solely focusing on Monkey Bizz, which will remain open as usual and enjoying its 22nd birthday this year."
