Chatham man charged after report of indecent exposure near City Way, Rochester

A man has been charged following a report of indecent exposure on a main road.

The incident happened at about 11.30am on Thursday (May 9) near City Way in Rochester.

Police launched an investigation and a man was arrested.

Officers seized a vehicle and following a search of an address in Medway they also recovered a quantity of cocaine and cannabis.

Ian Hardy, of Boundary Road, Chatham, was later charged with outraging public decency.

The 43-year-old was also charged with possessing class A and class B drugs, forging a registration document, driving without a licence and insurance and using a motor vehicle without a valid test certificate.

He was due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (May 14).
