Invicta Dynamos maintain ENIHL Division 1 South lead with wins over Oxford Stars and Wightlink Raiders

Invicta Dynamos won both of their ENIHL Division 1 South matches at the weekend to further enhance their position at the top of the table.

A 5-2 win at the Oxford Stars on Saturday was followed up with a 4-1 win over Wightlink Raiders at the Gillingham Ice Bowl.

Nicky Lewis and Peter Vaisanen each netted twice in the win over Oxford and Joe Johnston was also on target for the Mos.

Lewis had given the visitors a first minute lead and by the end of the first in was 2-0 as Johnston scored,

Dax Hedges’ early effort in second made it 2-1 and he got another after Vaisanen had scored Mos’ third. Vaisanen and Lewis sealed the win.

Lewis again got the Dynamos going with the first on Sunday and Andy Smith made it 2-0. Le

wis added the third goal in the middle period.

After conceding, the Mos hit back with Smith netting the fourth.

Invicta sit four points clear of Bracknell Hornets and have games in hand over any possible title challengers.
