Firefighters called to public toilet fire outside Gillingham Park, Canterbury Street, Gillingham

Firefighters were called to a blaze in a public toilet in Gillingham.

A crew were called to the entrance of Gillingham Park in Canterbury Street at 5.40pm, after someone allegedly set fire to a toilet roll holder in the mens toilet.

Thick black smoke was coming from the toilets when firefighters arrived.

No serious damage is thought to been caused and the police have been informed.
