Elderly man hit by e-bike in City Way, Rochester

A man in his 90s is being treated in hospital after he was hit by an electric bike.

The incident happened after a man in his 40s was riding an e-bike on the pavement in City Way in Rochester.

Police are appealing for information following the incident which happened at around 7.20am on Thursday, July 6. The man on the bike was heading towards St Williams Way and Chatham.

The elderly man was treated for serious injuries and taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

PC Marija Medvedeva, of Medway CID, said: “We have been completing inquiries into the circumstances and are now urging witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police, and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us.”
