Severe weather emergency protocol put in place by Medway Council as temperatures drop

Rough sleepers are being advised a severe weather emergency protocol has been put in place.

Those in the Medway Towns are being offered overnight emergency accommodation tonight.

Anyone requiring emergency accommodation is encouraged to visit Kingsley House, Balmoral Road, Gillingham, by 5.15pm this evening.

Those unable to get to Kingsley House should call the out of hours homelessness service on 01634304400.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to lows of 4C (39F) in Gillingham.
