A25 crash victims were sisters

TWO women killed when their car was in collision with an ambulance on the A25 at Westerham last Thursday afternoon were sisters.

Police have named them as 71-year-old Mary Price, of Sundridge, near Sevenoaks, and Dorothy Sandwell, 67, of Sevenoaks.

Another woman in the car, Sheila Khan, 59, is still in a stable but critical condition in Maidstone Hospital.

When the crash happened the ambulance involved was responding to a an emergency call. The ambulance crew suffered shock but were uninjured.

Relatives said the two dead sisters, who were part of a four-generation Kent family, were "much loved" and would be "sadly missed".

In a statement issued through Kent Police, they said: "They were travelling back to their mother's house when the collision occurred. Typically, they were out together, enjoying each other's company as they so often did."
