Teen punched by man on Southeastern train from Ashford International to Borough Green

Footage has emerged of a teenager being punched in the face by a man on a train.

The two were on a Southeastern service between Ashford International and Borough Green on Saturday evening.

The video caught part of an argument between the two with the man threatening the teen.

He said: “I don’t give a f*** about any of you so f*** off then.”

The teenager replied: “I’m not coming up to you.”

The man returns “I’m coming up to you though. You want to throw something down there and give it the bigg’n.”

At this moment the man leans in and throws a punch at the teen, continuing to hurl abuse as he does.

The footage was posted on social media with people commenting on their disgust towards the behaviour.

British Transport Police is aware of the incident and has confirmed it is looking into it.

A spokesperson said: “Officers are aware of a video showing an assault on board a train reportedly in the Borough Green area.

“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 290 of 18 December 2023.”
