They are all clean shaven - but a month from now this team of fundraisers will be sporting wild and wacky moustaches.

Almost 30 staff from the radiography, theatre, management and obstetrics departments at Maidstone Hospital are taking part in Movember.

It is organised by the Prostate Cancer Charity and participants are encouraged to grow mad 'taches for sponsorship.

Movember takes place throughout November to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, particularly prostate and testicular

cancers.

Heading the Hermitage Lane hospital team is radiographer Dave Merrett, who lost his grandfather to prostate cancer three years ago.

There are some women taking part too - the Mo Sisters - but they will be using stick-on moustaches.

On Monday, November 21, the team is holding a bake sale in the hospital's main reception between 10am and 2pm to collect more money.
