Jason Barnes charged with burglary and fraud after bank card theft in Upper Fant Road, Maidstone

A suspected burglar from has been charged following a break-in at a home.

An investigation was launched after a handbag and banks cards were stolen during a burglary in Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, on Monday, and then used to buy goods at two local shops the same day.

The following day 46-year-old Jason Barnes was arrested and subsequently charged with burglary and two counts of fraud.

Mr Barnes of King Street, Maidstone, has been remanded in custody and will appear by video link before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
