A 30-year-old man is still in a critical condition in hospital today, 11 days after suffering stab wounds outside a Kent pub.

Damian Stemp has been receiving treatment at Maidstone Hospital since an incident outside The Fountain pub in Barming, Maidstone, during the early hours of Sunday, August 26.

Mr Stemp, who is known to friends and family as Bod, and his friend Sonny Tolley, were both injured after they left the pub where they had spent the day celebrating the birth of Mr Tolley's nephew Louie.

Mr Stemp, who suffers from asthma, underwent emergency surgery in hospital for a punctured lung and sliced liver. He is facing further surgery today.

Mr Stemp's mother, Pauline, from Lurkin Rise, Goudhurst, said he had not regained full consciousness since the incident.

* Ryan Derreck Lloyd, 21, of Springwood Road, Barming, has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent in connection wtih the incident. He is in custody and due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on September 10.
