Maidstone manager Peter Nott believes his squad has enough quality to avoid relegation from the Ryman League, Premier Division.

Despite a 3-2 defeat against Wealdstone at Homelands on Saturday and Tuesday’s washout against Bognor, Nott says his side are good enough to move out of the relegation zone, which they slipped into for the first time earlier this week.

Nott, pictured, said: "We’ve known for a few weeks that we’re in a fight. We just need to get some belief now. I have no doubt our squad has the ability to get us out of trouble."

Stones visit struggling Hendon on Saturday where Nathan Paul, Jermaine Darlington, Mark Cornielle and Chris Saunders could all return, but Craig Stone faces a fortnight on the sidelines.

Rob Lyall is unavailable for two weeks while Roland Edge is suspended for the Hendon game. He will, however, be available for Monday's home clash with Hastings.

Peter Hawkins starts a two-match ban on Monday, while Charlie Stimson has returned to Gillingham.

One player who could feature on the bench on Monday is defender Errison Awhan, who left the club in 2008 after his religious beliefs prevented him from playing on Saturdays.

Keeper Andy Walker rejoins following a loan spell at Billericay.
