Machete and drugs found in car in Eccleston Road, Maidstone

A machete, cocaine and cannabis were found when police searched a car.

Officers on patrol in Eccleston Road, Maidstone, on Tuesday spotted the car parked and unattended and believed it was involved in the supply of drugs.

They detained a man and he was searched. Two mobile phones were seized and he was arrested.

The car was also searched and police found a machete, cocaine and cannabis.

Cocaine, ketamine and MDMA were subsequently discovered in a storage unit.

Christopher Gisanrin, of Arundel Square, Maidstone, was charged by investigators from Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team, with five counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, two counts of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of a bladed article in a public place and disqualified driving.

The 30-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (December 1).
