Nothing annoys a wife quite so much as her husband forgetting the date of their wedding anniversary.

Fortunately Tim Willets from Maidstone has an easy date to remember.

Tim, an analyst with NatWest Bank, married Melanie Stanford, a practice manager at a consultant engineers, yesterday - on Leap Day.

The couple tied the knot at the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone in the morning before a dozen members of their close family.

It was perhaps time they took their vows - they've already been together for 13 years.

The couple live in Grove Green.

Melanie, 52, and Tim, 59, have both been married before, but found love together after their previous relationships broke down.

They are off on honeymoon to Dubai shortly.
