Dog walker hit by suspected drink-driver in Laddingford near Yalding

A dog walker is in hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a van.

Police are appealing for information after the incident between 6.15am and 6.25am on Saturday in Laddingford near Yalding.

A grey Renault Kangoo van travelling in Claygate Road collided with a woman who was walking two dogs.

The woman was treated for injuries at the scene and then taken to a London hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver, who is a man in his 30s from the Staplehurst area, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and later bailed to return to the police station on April 3.

Officers are investigating the circumstances and are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
