Dancers have 'Got Talent'

THEY have been pitted against singers, jugglers and variety acts from across the south east and still been given the nod by the notoriously hard to please Simon Cowell.

Dancers from the Mandy Ellen School of Performing Arts, in Earl Street, Maidstone, were given a unanimous thumbs up by Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Mr Cowell after their second audition for Britain’s Got Talent on Tuesday.

The popular reality show, due to hit our screens on ITV in May or June, aims to find the cream of British talent to perform at The Royal Variety Show.

Dance school principal Mandy Ellen said getting through was a dream come true.

She said: “No one can believe we actually stood on that stage and met them all, and then danced in front of them.

“Everyone’s so excited, for them to get this far is such an achievement.”

“What made our dance so different is that we started off with a bit of street and hip hop and then point girls came in.

“Simon Cowell absolutely fell in love with my point girls.”

The 39 dancers will be back up in London tomorrow when they will find out if they are through to the semi finals.
