Maidstone were 2-0 winners over a Boreham Wood side who were forced to play much of the game with a makeshift goalkeeper in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday.

Wood lost keeper Tony Tucker through injury in the 24 minute and, with no substitute goalie on the bench, were forced to put striker Jamie Richards in goal.

Richards made a good save to deny Nick Barnes on 36 minutes but he then spilled a shot from Matthew Wright, signed on loan from Crystal Palace on Friday, only for James Pinnock (pictured) to put the rebound wide.

Pinnock atoned for the miss in first half stoppage time when Wood captain Curtis Ujah brought him down and got up to successfully convert the spot-kick by sending the keeper the wrong way.

Stones quickly added a second deep into added time when Nick Barnes drove a cross into the box and as Wood defender Kevin Stephens turned the ball into his own net while trying to clear it.

Wood dominated the second half, but Jamie Turner looked assured in the Stones goal and their lead was never really threatened.

Tonbridge went down 2-1 against Sutton at Longmead after Sonny Cobbs settled the game with a last-minute header. Steve Ferguson had given the home side the lead two minutes before half-time, with Sutton equalising in the 53rd minute through Sam Gargan.
