The credit crunch may be making headlines but traders in Maidstone are staying positive.

There are even signs of economic growth with new businesses moving into town centre locations and some independent companies expanding.

The Electrolysis Centre in Romney Place, Maidstone, has just opened additional treatment rooms, coffee machine shop Gaggia opened in Bank Street six weeks ago and the former Project Blue unit in the same street is also due to reopen soon.

Meanwhile, parents are looking for free and cheap days out to keep the children entertained throughout the school holidays.

Walks in the park, skateboarding, and cycling are all expected to rise in popularity over the next few weeks.
