WELLING manager Adrian Pennock is close to agreeing a deal to keep Daniel Moore at Park View Road.

The livewire midfielder has impressed during pre-season after joining the Wings on trial.

Moore netted again during the 4-1 defeat of a Gillingham XI and Pennock is keen to get him on board.

Pennock confirmed: "I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen so far. He has played well for us but we will need to get international clearance as he was playing abroad last season."

Pennock will also speak to former Gills youngster Danny Lawson but is keen to keep space in his squad for players that are still unattached.

"I’m keeping tabs on a couple of players who are still out of contract," he revealed. "They know we are interested."

Meanwhile, Pennock faces an anxious wait over in-form striker Che Stadhart.

The former Gravesend and Margate forward netted five times at in the 9-0 pre-season win over Erith and scored an impressive brace against Gillingham, only to damage knee ligaments after a late challenge in the second half.
