TAKALOO returns to the ring at York Hall in Bethnal Green next week when he fights Londoner Anthony Small for the Southern Area Light-Middleweight title.

The 32-year-old former WBU world champion at welterweight and light-middleweight has not fought since losing on points to Michael Jennings in Cardiff last April.

Takaloo faces Small on Saturday, January 12, and admitted: "I have got a lot to prove to myself and I am returning to a weight where I made my name.

"Things didn’t really work out for me at welterweight, but I am going to give it may all and see what happens."

Takaloo has employed his own personal dietician and fitness coach to prepare for the fight, which is scheduled to be over 10 rounds.

The bout is part of the undercard for the British Super Featherweight title fight between Carl Johannesson and Kevin Mitchell.
