CHARLTON have strengthened ties with Kent football by announcing that their reserves will play next season's home games at Gravesend's Stonebridge Road rather than at The Valley.

Premier League Reserve fixtures usually take place on Monday evenings when the Addicks will entertain the reserve teams of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, West Ham, Portsmouth and Watford. Charlton won the Premier League Reserve League (South) in 2004 and 2005.

The Addicks second string join Charlton's successful women's team in moving home fixtures to Stonebridge Road.

Gravesend season ticket holders will be admitted free to games.

Charlton chief exective Peter Varney said: "The move will help us to make Premier Reserve League football accessible to our many Kent-based supporters."

Fleet chairman Jason Botley added: "There is a lot of support for Charlton in this area and I'm sure our own supporters will take advantage of using their season tickets to watch these appetising matches."
