Sports council's new secretary

MARK AGATE is the new secretary of the Medway Towns Sports Council.

He succeeds long-serving Colin Boswell who retired at the annual meeting where he received a presentation of inscribed goblets from Cllr Wes Hollands, Medway Council’s portfolio holder for Leisure and Culture.

Mr Boswell has accepted the role of Sports Council president in succession to the late Stuart “Ticker” Fry.

Mr Agate is also secretary of the Gills Independent Supporters’ Club, national administrator of the Football Supporters’ Federation and president of local club Real 60.

Ken Williams remains chairman with Margaret Agate, wife of Mark, taking over as vice-chairman. Keith Richens continues as treasurer.
