CHARLTON'S Kadostin Kishishev is doubtful for Sunday's home game against Newcastle after withdrawing from Bulgaria's World Cup qualifier tonight against Malta.
Kishishev sustained a groin problem during the second half of Saturday's match against Croatia in Zagreb and had to be sustituted in the 2-2 draw. He returned to England immediately for treatment at Charlton.
Meanwhile, Charlton Reserves registered a fifth straight win when they beat Tottenham 3-1 at Stevenage in a match watched by Gillingham player-manager Andy Hessenthaler and new coach John Gorman. Charlton won with goals from Lloyd Sam, Jerome Thomas and a Paul Konchesky penalty.
Tottenham had midfielder Rodrigo Defendi sent off for a foul on Alex Varney who is easing his way back after a long, injury-enforced absence.
