Kent clubs face tough FA Vase ties

OXFORDSHIRE sides are in the sights of two Kent League clubs after the draw for the second round of the FA Vase.

Ramsgate, 1-0 conquerers of Lordswood on Saturday, will have to travel to meet the winners of the replay between Wantage and Didcot, while Maidstone will be at home to AFC Wallingford.

Thamesmead have been drawn away to Ware, in Hertfordshire, while Erith Town go to the East Anglian coast to take on Harwich and Parkeston, but Cray Wanderers are at home to Chessington and Hook.

AFC Wimbledon, who drew a crowd of more than 1,900 to Herne Bay on Saturday, have been handed a home draw against Wootton Blue Cross, of Bedfordshire.

The incentive for victory is a £1,000 prize to each successful club in the second round. The ties are due to be played on Saturday, November 22.
