THE VIP parking enclosure at Ireland’s Civil Service Club in Stormont near Belfast has been given a new name courtesy of the band of Kent fans who travelled there for the Friends Provident Trophy tie.

The area was dubbed the Joe Denly Car Park after the young right-hander deposited four sixes in an over into the parking bays in the penultimate over of the innings against off-spinner and Irish World Cup hero Andrew White.

Barely a month earlier, White held his nerve to secure a tie against Zimbabwe.
