Gillingham midfielder Nicky Southall has joined Ryman League Premier Division side Dover Athletic on a one-month loan deal.

The 36-year-old is in his third spell with the Gills and will link up with former teammate Andy Hessenthaler who is player/manager at Crabble.

This season he has found his first team chances limited by back and hamstring injuries.

Southall has been given permission to play in Dover's FA Cup first qualifying round match at Tonbridge on Saturday.

Southall goes into the Dover squad for Tuesday night's match at Hendon
