FORMER captain Kev Lake has played his last game for the Invicta Dynamos this season, according to coach Kevin Parrish.

Lake has been unavailable since the end of November and Parrish discovered that he had cleared out his locker.

The club have not been able to contact him during this period.

Parrish said: "Kev Lake will not be playing for us for the rest of the season.

"I turned up for training and discovered he had taken his kit and belongings. Maybe he has the hump about something, I don't know.

"No one has been able to contact him – his phone goes straight to answerphone."

Lake had captained the Mos for four years, leading them to several league titles and cup successes. He was replaced as captain by Grant Baxter in the close season.

Parrish added: "His is a big spot to fill. He has led the team by example for four years. We wish him well and I'm sure our fans will wish him well.

"We have to move on and we'll be looking for a replacement but there is no rush."
