Gillingham's reserves were held to a 2-2 draw at Aldershot on Wednesday afternoon.

The Gills fell behind to a Danny Hylton goal but Luis Cumbers equalised for Gillingham.

All the action came in the first half, including Charlie Howard's long-range effort which put Gillingham 2-1 ahead 11 minutes before half-time.

Hylton grabbed his second of the game to send the teams in level at the break.

Mark McCammon (hamstring) and Albert Jarrett (ankle) both played and are pushing for a return to the first-team.

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson said:"They both played 70 minutes and got through it.

"We'll monitor them over the next couple of days and maybe next Tuesday night or the following Saturday, they'll be up for selection.

"Mark has been frustrated that he hasn't really figured at all this season.

"But we don't want to put him straight back in, sit him on the bench then put him him on for 10 minutes and his hamstring goes again."
