Ebbsfleet chief executive David Davis has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

Mr Davis was only appointed to the post last year following the MyFootballClub takeover. He has requested that the reasons for his decision remain confidential.

When Ebbsfleet went public on a possible shortfall on funding last month, Mr Davis volunteered to work without pay.

MyFootballClub members have been asked to vote on the possible appointment of chairman John Moules to take on the chief executive role for an interim period of three months.
