WELLING manager Adrian Pennock has been named Conference South manager of the month for the second time this season.

The Wings boss has guided his team to second place in the league and the first round of the FA Cup with an attractive trip to Huddersfield awaiting them this Sunday.

Pennock said: "I'm really surprised to win it for a second time. I didn't even think about it to be honest.

"As I said last month, it's not about me but it's for everyone at the club, the players and the backroom staff.

"We have had some tough games away from home but I can't fault the players and they showed their true character on Saturday at Maidenhead despite the obvious distraction of the FA Cup run."
