A young woman claims she was sexually assaulted in a disused Canterbury car park.

The 20-year-old is said to have been targeted by a man in an early-hours attack.

She was walking near the Flying Horse pub when she met a man between 1.45am and 2.15am on Tuesday.

They walked towards the Odeon cinema, through the underpass and stopped near a deserted car park in Ivy Lane - where the alleged assault happened.

It is reported the woman was pushed backwards into the car park where she fell over and was then sexually assaulted.

The woman managed to grab the attention of a passing group who called out for her and she got away before returning home and calling the police.

Now Kent Police are appealing for the four people - two men and two woman - who might have witnessed the alleged sexual to come forward.

The alleged attacker is described as white, about 5ft 8in, between 20 and 25, with short black spiky hair and was unshaven.

He had a Spanish accent and wearing a beige hooded top.
