A 20-YEAR-OLD man who died following a car accident at the end of last week has been identifed.

Electrician Stewart Fagg was driving a Ford Escort on the A253 at Monkton when the vehicle collided with an on-coming Renault Megane and over-turned.

Mr Fagg, from Sturry, was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate in a critical condition after Friday's crash, but died from his injuries the following day.

A former pupil of the Chaucer Technology School and Canterbury College, he had recently qualified as an electrician and started work for a firm in Broadstairs.

Mr Fagg is said to have been a popular young man who enjoyed keeping fit and loved animals, including his two cats.

He lived with his family in Island Road, Sturry, where his father, Terence, said: "We want Stewart to be remembered as an energetic person with lots of friends.

"He was hard worker with a practical mind and will be deeply missed by family and friends alike."

An inquest into his death is due to be opened and will be adjourned to a full hearing at a future date.
